Low Vitamin D Levels Linked to Chronic Pain

A recent research study from California looked at one tiny dimension of this relationship by looking at the blood serum concentrations of vitamin D in pain patients who were getting care at an acute rehabilitation center.

The researchers took blood samples from 414 patients and assessed each of them for general muscle pain. The report discovered that people reporting musculoskeletal pain had substantially lower levels of vitamin D.
